    Housing-Volunteer-IconThe City of Pasadena Housing Department is dedicated to providing affordable housing and community development opportunities for low and moderate income persons to enhance and strengthen our community. 

    Current volunteer needs 

    • Rental Assistant Volunteer - Interview applicants, adhere to state and federal guidelines, update computer, file paperwork, and maintain accurate information. Volunteers gain useful knowledge and experience necessary to compete for an entry level position in a Housing Authority.

      **Special requirements - Length of assignment is a one year minimum. Must possess basic computer skills, oral and written communication, general office skills, basic math, interview techniques, ability to interpret rules and regulations, and possess an AA degree or above. Volunteers must obtain fingerprint clearance, undergo references checks, and complete a volunteer packet.

    • Administrative Support - May perform a variety of general office duties, such as, providing front desk coverage, answering telephones, greeting the public, data entry, filing, scanning, photocopying, drafting correspondence and assisting with special assignments as needed.
