After months of anticipation, the City of Pasadena Public Health Department is excited to release the City's Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The CHIP is a collaborative community health improvement plan in which agencies throughout the city utilized the Pasadena/Altadena 2012 Quality of Life Index to set focus areas for improving the health of the community. In the City of Pasadena CHIP, strategies are outlined to combat four areas affecting the health of the City and the health of future generations--access to health services, mental health and substance abuse prevention, obesity and obesity-related disease prevention, and teen pregnancy. The Public Health Department would like to thank all contributing agencies and would like to invite new agencies to tackle the selected health concerns of the community.
