Inaugural Pasadena Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon

Thousands of runners and spectators took to city streets for the Inaugural Pasadena Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon on Sunday, February 19th. A joint venture between the Pasadena Center, Rose Bowl and City, the event featured a half-marathon distance race, post-race concert at the Rose Bowl and pre-race expo at the Convention Center.

Participants started and finished at the Rose Bowl, ran past iconic landmarks making their way through the downtown business districts and the Caltech campus. Reviews of the course have been positive with many people remarking on how beautiful and scenic it was, despite the challenge of hills.
The Pasadena Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon benefited the Cure Mito Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting innovative research, treatment and education of mitochondrial disease and functional disorders. Cure Mito works closely with the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and is a local-serving organization.
An economic impact report for the event will be distributed in the coming weeks.
