PASADENA, Calif.—Pasadena’s burgeoning coffee cluster is proud to welcome Urth Caffé to its mix, California’s only exclusive heirloom organic coffee roaster. A festive, grand opening for Urth Caffé, 594 E. Colorado Blvd., in the heart of the Playhouse District, is planned from Noon to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18. The public is invited to attend.
“We chose Pasadena for our beautiful Urth Caffé because of the beauty and history of the city. Pasadena is the cultural and entertainment hub of the San Gabriel Valley and we believe that the Playhouse District is the cultural heart of Pasadena,” said Shallom Berkman, Co-Founder of Urth Caffé. “A city as unique, cultured and historical as Pasadena deserves the finest heirloom organic coffee café—Urth Caffé.”
Urth Caffé, www.urthcaffe.com, has direct relationships with several unique source farms in East Africa and South America and roasts fresh organic whole bean coffee six days a week in a vintage, 1958 Probat cast iron coffee roaster.
In addition to their award-winning coffee, Urth is a full-fledged cafe serving an excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner menu focusing on organic, sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. They also bake breads, pastries and desserts seven days a week.
Urth Caffé is a welcome addition to Pasadena’s vibrant downtown and the City’s local coffee scene. Pasadena’s coffee aficionados already enjoy Jones Coffee Roasters, Intelligentsia Coffee, Zona Rosa, Jameson Brown, Filmore West Station Coffee and more.
“Urth Caffé provides a high quality caffeine boost to Downtown Pasadena and the Playhouse District,” said Eric Duyshart, Pasadena’s Director of Economic Development. “The beautiful Spanish-styled building is tastefully designed with courtyards and balconies that provide the perfect spots to enjoy a nice cup of coffee.”
