AIRPORT AUTHORITY COMMISSION ELECTS PASADENA COMMISSIONER CHRIS HOLDEN AS PRESIDENT FOR THE COMING YEAR
Commissioner Rafi Manoukian of Glendale Chosen as Vice President;
Commissioner Susan Georgino of Burbank Named Secretary
BURBANK, Calif., July 2, 2012 – The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, owner and operator of Bob Hope Airport, has elected new officers to head the Authority Commission for a one year term from July 2012 through June 2013. The Commission elects officers each July.
Pasadena Commissioner Chris Holden was elected President. Commissioner Rafi Manoukian of Glendale was elected Vice President, and Commissioner Susan Georgino of Burbank was chosen Secretary.
Holden has been an Authority commissioner since 1993 and served as Vice President in 2011-2012, Secretary in 2010-2011, and has twice served as President. Manoukian has served on the Authority since 2006 and served as Secretary and Treasurer in 2011-2012. He was also Secretary in 2008-2009. Georgino has served on the Authority since October 2011.
In related actions, the Authority appointed Burbank Commissioner Bill Wiggins as Auditor, Pasadena Commissioner Terry Tornek as Treasurer and Executive Director Dan Feger as Assistant Secretary, and left intact the existing assignments for the various Airport Committees.
The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is a joint powers authority formed by the three cities to own and operate Bob Hope Airport. The Authority is governed by a nine-member commission, and each of the three cities appoints three commissioners to the panel.
In addition to the officers, the other current commissioners are: Don Brown of Burbank; Dave Weaver and Frank Quintero of Glendale; and Steve Madison of Pasadena.
