CITY OF PASADENA ANNOUNCES FOURTH OF JULY CLOSURES AND REMINDERS FOR RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES
PASADENA, Calif.—Pasadena residents and businesses are reminded that City Hall and many City services will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, Independence Day, in observance of our Great Nation’s Birthday.
The City Council will not meet in regular session on Monday, June 25 or on Monday, July 2.
Pasadena Fire and Police Departments will continue to be staffed for all patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and other emergency services. Public Safety officials also will be on extra alert for illegal fireworks and related activities.
During July 4, Pasadena residents and businesses with any power emergencies should call Pasadena Water and Power Department at (626) 744-4673. For water-related emergencies, please call (626) 744-4138. The Department’s regular Customer Service Center will be closed for the holiday, but customers can still pay their bills by phone at (626) 744-4005.
Residents with City of Pasadena trash and recycling pickup services will have their regularly scheduled trash, recycling and yard waste pickups the week of July 2, including on Independence Day. No pickups for bulky items will be scheduled.
The Central Pasadena Public Library and all library branches will be closed.
The City’s ARTS (Area Rapid Transit Service) and Dial-A-Ride transportation programs will not be operating, but will resume normal schedules again on July 5. All parking meters are free and parking time limits will not enforced. Violations for red curb parking and blocking fire hydrants will continue to be issued.
All Recreation and Community Centers operated by the City’s Human Services and Recreation Department will be closed on July 4, but all parks will be open for picnics, fun and festivities. No site reservations are accepted on holidays, however.
