STREET CLOSURE REMINDERS FOR 626 NIGHT MARKET THIS WEEKEND
PASADENA, Calif.—Residents, business owners and visitors are reminded about the numerous temporary street closures that will be in place this weekend in support of the free “626 Night Market” special event from 4:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday, July 28.
The streets of Pasadena will be filled with the excitement, sounds, smells and ambiance of a busy Asian street market from more than 150 vendors offering authentic foods, goods, music and entertainment of Asian culture. The event covers about a six-block area surrounding City Hall.
The following primary streets will be closed beginning at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 thru 1:00 a.m., Sunday, July 29th:
- Garfield Avenue between Walnut Street and Colorado Boulevard
- Holly Street between Marengo Avenue and Garfield Avenue
- Euclid Avenue between Walnut Street and Colorado Boulevard
- Union Street between Los Robles Avenue and Marengo Avenue
Additional street closures will occur in the same immediate area for event set-up, staging and cleanup, including Garfield Avenue between Ramona Street and Union Street and on Holly Street between Marengo Avenue and Garfield Avenue from 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, until 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29.
Primary Parking Lots for the event include the Kaiser Permanente Parking Structure at Euclid Avenue and Walnut Street and the Parsons Parking Lot at Fair Oaks Avenue and Walnut Street.
Event organizers urge visitors to consider using public transit, the Metro Gold Line and to carpool.
