Nighttime Lane Closures on Rosemead Boulevard March - May 2014 Announced

 NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSURES ON ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD MARCH - MAY 2014   

WHAT 

Crews will be working on the underpass of the I-210 Freeway bridge over Rosemead Boulevard between Colorado Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard, as part of the 11.5-mile Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Light Rail Project. During this work, Rosemead Boulevard will have lane closures at night and early morning for approximately two (2) months.    

WHEN 

Work is scheduled to take place as follows, (construction schedules are subject to change):   

  • March 17, 2014 – May 4, 2014, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.; Lanes on northbound Rosemead Boulevard will be closed to thru-traffic between Colorado Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard for approximately seven (7) weeks.  

The three left lanes along northbound Rosemead Boulevard will be temporarily closed to thru-traffic nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. The right lane on northbound Rosemead Boulevard will remain open for access to the eastbound I-210 Freeway on-ramp only.  

  • May 5, 2014 – May 17, 2014, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.; Lanes on southbound Rosemead Boulevard will be closed to thru-traffic between Colorado Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard for approximately two (2) weeks.  

The two left lanes along southbound Rosemead Boulevard will be temporarily closed to thru-traffic nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.  The right lane on southbound Rosemead Boulevard will remain open for access to the westbound I-210 Freeway on-ramp only.  

WHERE 

Crews will be working on the I-210 Freeway underpass on Rosemead Boulevard located between Colorado Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard in the City of Pasadena.  

WHAT TO EXPECT 

  • Traffic lanes on Rosemead Boulevard will be closed to thru-traffic in one direction each night between Colorado Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard.  The I-210 freeway on-ramps will remain accessible.  
  • Construction equipment noise will be produced near active work zones.  
  • “No Parking” signs will be posted along Rosemead Boulevard. Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced.   
  • Detour signs will be posted to direct motorist during the closure. During construction, sidewalk access for pedestrians will remain open on one side of the street.  
  • Access to local residences and businesses will remain open. 
  • Bus stops in this vicinity may be temporarily relocated. For information about:
