PHOTO OPPORTUNITY FIREFIGHTERS TO HIT THE STREETS TO BENEFIT THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION
WHO: Pasadena Firefighters
WHAT: Fill the Boot campaign, in which firefighters volunteer their time to greet the public, motorists and shoppers while seeking cash or check donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
WHEN/WHERE: SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 2009 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Intersections of: Foothill & Rosemead So. Lake & San Pasqual Colorado & Delacey
WHY: The International Association of Firefighters is the largest sponsor of the MDA, and the strongest campaigner for research efforts to eradicate 40 neuromuscular diseases. The contributions collected by the firefighters go towards summer camps for children, professional and public health education and other vital programs.
