Over 3,000 residents, business owners, students, community leaders and others participated with City staff and members of the General Plan Update Advisory Committee (GPUAC) as part of the 2009 General Plan Update outreach program. They included people of all backgrounds, ages and interests.
GPUAC played a major role in developing the outreach program. Our goal was to reach as many people as possible and specifically to reach segments of the population that do not generally engage in civic dialog. GPUAC participated in every community meeting as group facilitators and scribes. Together, we have heard first-hand what people love about this City, what they are concerned about and what they want for Pasadena’s future. We summarized what we heard in the Outreach Summary Report.
