    The City of Pasadena is committed to the professional and personal development of its workforce.

    City employees are encouraged to take part in a culture of lifelong learning. To achieve this, the Department of Human Resources Training has developed an extensive curriculum of courses to support employees at every stage in their career.

    City employees may attend a wide variety of courses with a focus on:

    • Communication and Interpersonal skills
    • Health, Safety and Wellness
    • Information Technology
    • Public Sector Policy
    • Career Management


    Citywide Training
    The classes we publicize for citywide employee training are sessions that will provide Pasadena’s multi-talented staff with an opportunity to learn or enhance skills in a wide range of subject areas. Many of these classes have been offered in the past and have received exceptional response from participants or are classes which were specifically requested by our employees.

    These classes are filled on a first come, first served basis.
