The City of Pasadena Northwest Programs Office, in partnership with staff from the Mentoring Partnership for Youth Development Participants and Flintridge Foundation, hosts a program at John Muir entitled “Lunch with the Future.” The program is designed to encourage students to pursue a college education and/or vocational training programs and explore career options once they have completed their high school education. Guest speakers from the public and private sector, as well as community-based organizations, are invited to make a presentation on their academic skills, employment opportunities in their field of specialization, educational programs, and provide information on vocational and training programs available in the San Gabriel Valley.
