    Project Description

    The applicant, the City of Pasadena’s Department of Public Works, has submitted a Conditional Use Permit application to allow the continued operation of a temporary Public Safety Facility on this site while structural repairs/improvements are made to the nearby Fire Station #39 (50 Avenue 64).  The temporary facility accommodates two fire personnel, in three shifts, and one rescue ambulance.  No “fire trucks”, or similar large vehicles, would be located at this site.  The  temporary facility was established on the site in February 2012 under the provisions of the Zoning Code that permit temporary uses to be established on a site for a period of up to 12 months.  As the rehabilitation of Fire Station #39 is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2013 a Conditional Use Permit is therefore required to permit the temporary facility’s continued operation beyond February 2013.
