    The Prenatal Clinic reception area has moved to Room 2119! Please find our friendly staff there.

     The Pasadena Public Health Department's Prenatal Clinic offers caring, comprehensive and culturally-sensitive services for pregnant women and teens and for new mothers who have just given birth. 

    The Prenatal Clinic is a Comprensive Perinatal Services Provider (CPSP).  This means that patients will receive:

    • Prenatal care
    • Nutrition counseling
    • Health education
    • Help with talking about your family issues and needs
  • Prenatal Services and Prenatal Health Education Programs

    The Prenatal Clinic offers healthcare services and health education classes to help new mothers prepare for birth and motherhood.

    • Pregnancy testing
    • Regular prenatal check-ups
    • Routine lab tests and ultrasounds to check your health and your baby's health
    • 6 week post-partum check-up 

    On-Site Pregnancy Insurance Enrollment

    • Medi-Cal
    • Presumptive Eligibility (pregnancy related health insurance)
    • AIM (for those who do not qualify for Medi-Cal)
    • Minor Consent Medi-Cal also called Sensitive Services (health insurance for pregnant people under age 21 without parental consent or notification)


    The Prenatal Clinic also offers referrals to helpful community resources.

    Huntington Memorial Hospital offers Maternity and Orientation Tours to expectant mothers.

    All pregnant girls, teens and women are eligible for Prenatal Clinic services.

    We accept:

    • Medi-Cal
    • Cash pay

    We do not accept healthcare plans; however we may be able to disenroll you to receive services at the Pasadena Public Health Department Prenatal Clinic for delivery at Huntington Memorial Hospital.

    Join Us in Providing Healthier Birth outcomes in pasadena

    The Pasadena Public Health Department's Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Outreach Program facilitates and participates in community-based groups and committees to promote, provide and improve prenatal healthcare services and education in the Pasadena community.  Groups include but are not limited to:

    • The Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Committee (quarterly meetings)
    • The Black Infant Health Advisory Committee (quarterly meetings)

    Patients can walk in Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

    The Pasadena Public Health Department is closed every other Friday (please see calendar).

    Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program Hours

    The WIC Program has two locations to serve the Pasadena community.
