Brookside Park has two playground areas for children of all ages and abilities to run, jump, and climb to their heart's delight. Reese's Retreat, located east of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Brookside Park is a play area designed to be accessible to children and parents and other caregivers with disabilities. Among the features in the play area is a large pirate ship styled play structure and are a large expanse of rubberized surfacing, transfer tables into a sand area, and covered picnic tables. An additional play area and tot lot are located near the main entrance to Brookside Park.
