Traffic counts are conducted throughout the city either through resident requests, development projects, specific and general plans, or engineering studies. The Department of Transportation has collected these traffic counts and made them available to the public. Below are two traffic volume flow maps for counts collected between 2010 and 2014. One map is a citywide traffic volume map; the other is a more detailed East and West Pasadena traffic volume map.
In addition, current traffic counts can be found using the interactive map and interface located at the link below. Intersections can be searched by name or though the map interface. Traffic Count Database System (TCDS) provides 24-hour approach counts. Turning Movement Counts (TMC) provides turning movement counts for peak hours at intersections.
