    Lateral* or Entry Level Police Officer

    Salary - $4,539 to $5,558 ($54,475 to $66,705)
    Junior Standing -  $125.00/mo
    AA or AS Degree - $175/mo
    BA or BS Degree - $275/ mo
    Advanced Post Certificate - $300/mo
    Special Assignment Bonus - $250 to $510/ mo
    PERS Retirement - 3% at 55 (9% paid by City)
    Holidays - 12 fully paid
    Vacations - Up to 20 days per year
    Alternate Work Schedules - 3/12, 4/10, 9/80
    Bilingual Pay - $140/mo
    Tuition/Fee Reimbursement - Up to $500/year

    *Lateral hires (possessing a Basic POST Certificate) start at pay step 4, Pre-Service hires (possessing a POST approved academy certificate) start a pay step 2.
