Pasadena Public Health Department

    We provide free, fun and interactive nutrition and physical activity classes year-round throughout Pasadena. We offer one-time workshops and a series of five 90-minute classes. Classes and workshops are available in English or Spanish.  Topics covered include:

    1. MyPlate, The Healthy Way
    2. Rediscover Fruits & Vegetables
    3. Read It Before You Eat It
    4. Rethink Your Drink
    5. The Real Cost of Eating Out 


    At each lesson, participants will help prepare and enjoy a simple healthy and delicious recipe! (See our Healthy Recipes for some tasty ideas.)

    Physical activity exercises will also be incorporated into each lesson.

    Through a partnership with Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), we provide nutrition education and healthy cooking classes to PUSD students and parents.
